These guidelines are made up of five documents:

1. The guidelines themselves are grouped in a document that has all the questions elaborated regarding the professional practice in the pre-, per- and post-intervention. It contains all the information, adopted methodology, results, levels of evidence and bibliography;

2. Summarized guideline. A presentation that contains only the Key Points, that is, recommendations themselves, listed in a simple way, for easy consultation;

3. Guideline, schemes and checklists. Document containing the infographics necessary for its implementation.

A quality clinical decision is based on three assumptions:

1. The patient's interests; if the clinical decision does not satisfy them, their main objective has completely failed;

2. The experience of the clinician as an essential element that brings together his insight, knowledge and even intuition, the so-called human factor;

3. Scientific evidence as a base of credible, objective and essential information.

 

The guidelines presented here are intended to be this base of objective information and knowledge essential to support clinical decision.

All clinical exercise theaters have their specificities. In this context, these guidelines are not hermetic orders to be fulfilled, but only a robust body of knowledge, which allows the clinician to build the performance protocol that best suits the characteristics of each clinic.

 

It should also be noted that the adoption of these rules does not guarantee the zero risk of acquiring the infection.
